When the workplace becomes an arena
" When selecting the flooring for the colourful running tracks, the choice fell on the POLYFLOR PALETTONE PUR collection. "
Sporting dynamism for modern workplaces
A Czech technology company has set itself the task of providing sports enthusiasts with key moments from more than 35 sports in a quick and clear manner. The design and fit-out of the new office spaces were also approached with a sporting spirit – and the POLYFLOR PALETTONE PUR vinyl collection from objectflor proved to be the perfect choice.
The modern Aspira Business Centre office building was constructed above the Nové Butovice underground station in Prague and the company moved in at the end of 2017.
The project was carried out by Livesport, which is known in many countries for its FlashScore product. The company moved into the top three floors of the building in early January 2020. The FlashScore web network, Livesport.cz, specialises in providing live sports information and delivers match results, league table updates, as well as live commentary and videos covering more than 35 sports.
The building comprises a total of ten above-ground and three underground floors. Further office space totalling 15,303 m² is available for rent. As well as office space, the building also houses a conference hall, a restaurant with a café and a central reception area. The transport facilities are also extensive: in addition to 258 parking spaces, there are seven charging points for electric cars and a cycle shed with showers and a changing room.
More than just a sporting competition: the implementation
Livesport also adopted a sporting approach to the design of the working environment and organised a competition. In the first round, three architectural firms submitted proposals for the implementation of the design concept. The combination of eye-catching interior design, a functional layout of the workspaces and a clear design concept ultimately won the day. The Prague-based architectural firm Studio Reaktor was commissioned to carry out the further planning.
Neutral colours and carefully selected soft surfaces create an environment conducive to focused work. Running tracks and acoustic elements pick up on the theme of movement and lend the spaces a dynamic feel. When selecting flooring for the coloured runways, the choice fell on the POLYFLOR PALETTONE PUR vinyl collection.
The collection is based on a coordinated colour scheme that showcases the individual shades both on their own and in combination with one another. The 50 shades are aligned with the NCS colour system and range from neutral, muted tones to vibrant colours. The matt finish of the vinyl flooring enhances natural colour perception.
A floor covering for a wide range of applications
The PUR surface finish facilitates the cleaning and maintenance of the flooring and helps to reduce soiling during everyday use. The homogeneous flooring is also chemical-resistant and can be decontaminated.
For areas with increased requirements for electrostatic dissipation, POLYFLOR PALETTONE SD is available in six colours. The collection offers a variety of applications and is suitable for, amongst others, educational establishments, industrial buildings and healthcare facilities.
