PALETTONE PUR brings a splash of colour to Vachdorf Primary School

Vachdorf Primary School was built in 1963 and a sports hall was added in 1990. Its 50th anniversary had already passed several years earlier when the school building and sports hall underwent a complete refurbishment in 2018/2019. The refurbishment was carried out under the supervision of the relevant district administration office. The result is a colourful building, modernised both inside and out, which offers a contemporary learning environment.
In addition to six bright and colourful classrooms, as well as two specialised classrooms and two subject-specific rooms, the primary school now features a new, spacious after-school care area, a dining hall with a food serving area, a new staff room and four toilet blocks. The spatial design is complemented by a comprehensive fire safety plan and a conversion to ensure accessibility.

The colour palette of the vinyl flooring collection is based on a colour system that coordinates the colours both individually and in combination with one another. Thanks to the NCS colour system, the PALETTONE colours used can be combined with the coloured walls. A total of seven colours were used across a floor area of almost 1,000 m².
In addition to the colour scheme, the focus was also on digitalisation. Vachdorf Primary School was technically modernised as part of the refurbishment: all classrooms are equipped with interactive screens, and 32 tablets and 20 laptops are available for the pupils’ use.
PALETTONE PUR in schools and educational establishments
The homogeneous single-layer PVC structure is produced to achieve its smooth and dense texture. The 2 mm thick vinyl flooring is designed for high-traffic areas and features a PUR surface finish.
The PUR surface finish facilitates the cleaning and maintenance of the flooring. PALETTONE PUR also has a chemical-resistant surface and is suitable for areas where regular cleaning and decontamination are required.
For areas with specific requirements regarding electrostatic dissipation, POLYFLOR PALETTONE SD is available in six colours.
