objectflor flooring for the Kölner Haie
" We wanted to create something visually appealing. High-quality and hard-wearing " – Mirco Lüdemann, Marketing and Youth Development
The new flooring in the Cologne Ice Hockey Club’s office needed to be stylish, low-maintenance and durable. The choice fell on a vinyl wood-effect floor with a striking grain from objectflor, which complements the club’s colours well.
There’s always a lot going on at the club’s offices in the Haie-Zentrum in Cologne-Deutz. Especially since the German team’s sensational success at the 2018 Olympic Games. Ice hockey legend Mirco Lüdemann, himself an active player for the Kölner Haie until 2016 and now in charge of marketing and youth development, is delighted by this and is looking forward to the coming months. Sponsorship talks, press conferences and player meetings: all of this takes place within the approximately 400 newly designed square metres at the Cologne ice hockey club’s office.
objectflor design flooring instead of carpet
The carpet in the rooms showed the typical signs of wear and tear and had become unsightly. “We wanted to create something visually appealing,” says Mirco Lüdemann. “High-quality and hard-wearing.” Thanks to the sponsorship partnership with objectflor during the 2017/18 season, staff at the Haie Centre became aware of vinyl flooring.
“We looked at the flooring at objectflor and immediately found a suitable design.”
The choice fell on the Grey Limed Oak design from the EXPONA COMMERCIAL collection (item no. 4082). The company Fußbodentechnik Schmitz carried out the professional installation. Both the offices of the 25 staff members and the large meeting room now have the desired prestigious look. Neither dirt from shoes nor spilled drinks now leave any lasting marks. The chosen vinyl flooring is therefore perfectly suited to the requirements.
