" A rubber floor has a long service life and offers impressive performance characteristics "

Rubber flooring for sophisticated architecture

From unique retail concepts and public buildings to universities, theatres and design-led offices: ARTIGO’s rubber flooring is used across a wide range of architectural and commercial settings. The collections offer a variety of colours and finishes, allowing functional requirements to be combined with individual design concepts.

Library of the Faculty of Humanities in Copenhagen

The Library of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen is a central feature of the South Campus in the Amager district. Completed in 2008, the building covers around 13,300 square metres and offers approximately 500 study places. The architecture combines open, light-filled study and reading areas with spaces for information, lending and relaxation. Different zones facilitate both concentrated individual work and interaction and collaborative learning.

ARTIGO MULTIFLOOR ND UNI rubber flooring was used for the floor covering. The smooth surface blends seamlessly into the clean design of the library spaces. Particularly in a library with a variety of usage areas, the requirements for day-to-day operation and maintenance are important considerations in the choice of materials, alongside the design.

The project demonstrates how rubber flooring can be used in a large public building where architecture, the learning environment and diverse usage requirements come together.
