Modern shop design by EXPONA DESIGN at INTERSPORT Kiel

The newly redesigned INTERSPORT specialist shop in Kiel boasts a well-organised, modern and clear layout. The shop design is based on the idea of bringing together all products for a particular sport in one place – from specialist footwear and clothing to sports equipment.

This clear structure is reflected in a minimalist shopfitting concept that uses a pared-back design to place the colours black and white centre stage. The dark ceiling is complemented by individual white suspended panels.

To echo the colour contrast and material effect of the interior design concept on the floor, the choice fell on ‘Light Contour’ in combination with ‘Dark Contour’ from the EXPONA DESIGN collection by objectflor. The striped design, with its metallic mesh look, gains additional depth and a distinctive surface texture thanks to linear embossing.

As an INTERSPORT partner, the interior design firm Bierwirth from Gieboldehausen developed the new premium concept.

Aesthetics and functionality with EXPONA DESIGN

The light-coloured design flooring echoes the material effect of the interior design concept and combines it with the functional properties of a design floor covering. The ‘Light Contour’ design forms the basis of the flooring scheme and is complemented by accents in ‘Dark Contour’.

A dark strip serves as a unifying design element running through the sales area. The steps in the staircase have also been given black accents. This creates a cohesive design concept that reflects the shop’s architecture and links the individual sales areas together.

The new shop design is intended as a concept for use in other INTERSPORT shops.
