High-quality designer flooring: ideal for both new builds and refurbishments
" The ‘Golden Geometric’ décor, another flagship design from the EXPONA DOMESTIC collection, ticked all the boxes. "
Hotels are embracing bespoke design
Hotels are increasingly turning to bespoke design to offer their guests a distinctive ambience. Designer floor coverings can be key design elements in this regard – particularly when they are used to create specific focal points.
Modern hotel concepts can be combined with the repositioning of existing properties through bespoke floor design. A particular challenge lies in integrating modern design into existing architecture. The Holiday Inn Hotel in Neuss demonstrates the role that floor coverings can play in this regard.
After many years of operation, the hotel’s interior was comprehensively refurbished. The bar and café areas featured ceramic tiles that no longer fitted with the current design concept. For Holiday Inn’s new décor and colour scheme – featuring bright white alongside warm shades of grey and yellow – a floor covering was sought that would blend harmoniously into the colour scheme whilst also providing a striking design accent.
The choice fell on the ‘Golden Geometric’ design from the EXPONA DOMESTIC collection. Across 110 square metres, white, grey and golden triangles create a striking floor pattern. The textile surface texture complements the design and adds a further visual highlight. As a result, the room, which is used as a communal area, has become a striking feature of the newly designed hotel environment.
