An unforgettable trip to the cinema – cinema auditoriums with a cosy atmosphere

Even as a young man, Heinz Lochmann, founder of Lochmann Filmtheaterbetriebe, dreamt of owning his own cinema. His dream has come true, and what began as the ‘Traumpalast’ cinema has now grown into a chain of ten cinemas. A unique feel-good concept, featuring a diverse programme selection and individually designed auditoriums, invites audiences to dream.

Every Traumpalast is well worth a visit. This is because each individual cinema auditorium is uniquely designed: from imaginative murals and impressive lighting installations to a giant phoenix soaring above the audience’s heads. Many of the auditoriums are fitted with particularly comfortable lounge armchairs, which make a trip to the cinema even more cosy. The team at the architecture firm Schuhmacher & Partner in Isernhagen, near Hanover – which specialises in cinemas – is responsible for the creative concepts, planning and implementation.

EXPONA DESIGN – the vinyl flooring collection for creative concepts

At the Traumpalast in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the bespoke design was also extended to the flooring. The distinctive ‘checker plate’ floor design was used in the foyer and auditoriums. An aluminium sheet look in a 457.2 x 914.4 mm tile format that creates a visual highlight on the floor.
